What is your question?
The A/C in my vehicle isn't blowing cold air. I have been told that 2 parts need to be replaced - the blower motor and the control transistor. What is a "control transistor"? Is there another name or term for it?
What makes this problem better or worse?
It consistently does not blow cold air
How long has your 2018 Honda HR-V had this problem?
A few weeks

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Is the air blowing at all? It is extraordinarily unusual for a blower motor and resistor to be needed on a 2018 HR-V. I've never ever seen such a thing, and I work with dozens of Honda's daily. If the blower is not working at all, I would be checking the blower motor wiring for power and if none is present be looking to see why by tracing wiring back from it. I would also check for any blown fuses. If the blower is blowing, but not cold - I would be focused on the refrigerant system under the hood or the temperature blend motors in the dash that vary air temperature from cold to hot using the climate control temperature controls. Has anyone checked the vehicle first hand to diagnose the concern? I would definitely recommend a good shop near you has a look and weighs in. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
