turns over won't start

I have the same problem with my 99 Suburban, and have read a LOT of reports about faulty Passlock security problems, which turns off the fuel supply if the system does not read the proper resistance across a key. With the multitude of problems associated with this malfunction, I can't believe someone hasn't started a class action suit.
