Trans seems to be in limp mode and code for shift solenoid b electrical comes up but its got power.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, That makes sense. The 4L80e transmission has issues with the solenoids after some time, as well as with clutch packs after extended towing, hard use, or lack of maintenance. They are great transmissions, but this issue is common. Bring it into a certified shop to have the trans diagnosed before repair.
