What is your question?
I was told from the car dealer the ticking noise from my 2003 Nissan Maxima is coming from the third cylinder. My car has hydraulic lifters. The oil is clean. The car was throughly checked. I was told to live with the noise until any other problems occur. I can't stand the ticking noise. Does anyone have suggestions?

Try the lightest grade oil allowed by Nissan and use a product called Risoline. Risoline is a high detergentcy low viscocity oil additive that flushes out "dirty" hydraulic lifters.
Other than having the head overhauled, nothing can be done. I use 20W50 and a motor treatment on oil changes. It only helps for a short while, then it's back.
Thanks for the reply: The oil was changed with the lightest possible. I used Risoine, and the filter was changed. The ticking noise is still there but slightly louder.
