Some Lexus RX350 owners report experiencing AWD system malfunctions, which may include the engine light being on and traction control being disabled. These issues can stem from disconnected sensors, wiring problems, or bad grounds that lead to erratic AWD behavior. Additionally, problems with the Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system can trigger warning lights and fault codes such as P0012 and P0014. Owners may also notice symptoms like decreased traction, difficulty in turning, strange noises, and the vehicle unexpectedly engaging 2WD mode, which compromises stability. It is recommended that affected owners have their vehicles inspected by a qualified mechanic or Lexus service center to diagnose and resolve these issues promptly, as neglecting AWD malfunctions can lead to further complications and safety risks.

Some Lexus RX350 owners report experiencing issues when the "Check AWD System" light illuminates, indicating potential problems with the All-Wheel Drive system that could compromise safety while driving. These owners also note that the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) and TRAC (Traction Control) warning lights may activate, particularly if the Check Engine light is on. Specific trouble codes, such as C1201, often relate to malfunctions in the Engine Control Module (ECM) or ABS control module, while code P0352 points to issues with the ignition coil B primary/secondary circuit. To resolve these warnings, some owners recommend performing a diagnostic scan to identify the underlying issues, seeking a professional inspection to address the codes, and ensuring regular vehicle maintenance to prevent future problems. They emphasize the importance of addressing the root cause of the Check Engine light to restore functionality to the AWD and TRAC systems effectively.
