Chipped off the cracked plastic under front & back sway bar bushings, sanded and silicone-greased the rusty sway bar areas, replaced with new bushings. 21mm here, but bar varies with model.
Creaking in the front end, like the sound of a tin can being crushed. First they replaced the sway bar linkages then the whole sway bar and the bushings. I am not impressed with the quality of the car overall and will likely buy another Mercedes instead next time I am in the market for a toy.
I purchased this Audi TT in Vicenza Italy (Army) a couple of months ago with 54,000KM. It is making deep creeking noises. When I took it to a local shop they told me the motor mounts needed replacing. How can I tell if they are correct or if it is the sway bar?
