Front Sway Bar

The sway bar is a solid bar that connects both sides of the suspension for a given axle. Its job is to lessen the amount of vehicle lean while cornering.

Symptoms of a Bad or Failing Front Sway Bar

  • Suspension may make an abnormal noise when going over bumps
  • Vehicle may have excessive body lean when cornering
  • Sway bar end links are a common cause of suspension noise
  • Unless other suspension components must be removed, replacing the sway bar, its bushings, and/or end links should not result in the need for a wheel alignment
