What is your question?
My 07 IS 350 has a push button start switch. Sometimes the starter does not disengage quickly enough after the motor fires causing a clicking sound. I was told this could possibly be caused by a weak battery. Before I spend the money to have a new starter installed I want to verify if a weak battery could be a posible cause saving me allot of money.

It's worth checking if there's warranty left on your IS. Just my 2 cents, I am not sure how a weak battery would cause a starter to hang up after the engine has started. Power is not required to disengage the starter gear from the flywheel/flexplate. A tech can check for service bulletins from Lexus to see if there are any published repairs for this condition
Take it to a ASE certified tech. Get off your wallet. The is way above your ability! DO NOT REPLACE THE STARTER.
