Intermittent trouble( noticed this started happening approximately 2-3 years ago, this year being the most frequent! ) with truck stalling after making a sharp turn ... engine stalls.... luckily so far it always starts right back up! I also noticed if you accelerate the gas after making a sharp turn , engine will not stall....sometimes this is not possible depending on the traffic.... had a close call when traffic was bottled up in front of me waiting to enter a roundabout....time to correct this problem ! :) Follow up report : June 2014 Explained issue to mechanic ( Firestone) - had Fuel System Cleaning /Tech cleaned Throttle Body & the Mass Air Flow sensor also had Standard oil change total cost: ( including NYS tax $142.54 equal parts: labor) Result : Noticed IMMEDIATE difference ! As soon as I drove off It felt Brand New again ! Mechanic said the Throttle Body was 100% gummed up- Extremely important to have this maintenance done at some point! It's been 3 weeks & I haven't stalled once.... taking very sharp turns ....... feeling GREAT ! :)
Stabilitrack light, Reduced Engine Power, Check stability control and engine lights on. Local mechanic ran diagnostic test which resulted in recommendation for cleaning throttle body.
Vehicle died twice while driving. Would not restart. Vehicle started via bump as well as pushing down on gas pedal at same time. Alternator and battery tested fine.
