My car would not idle when my foot was not on the gas. This was an intermittent problem for years and the dealer replaced sparks, etc never correcting the problem. I found a mechanic that detected that it was a faulty airflow sensor and bought a salvaged part this fixed the problem.
When starting the S u v,it starts with a vibration and squeal noise and after warming up, by the way its a 5 speed,i travel a short distance and slow down,the the gas petal and it dies out.
