SPEEDOMETER

See if the cruise control works, they both require an input from the vehicle speed sensor (VSS). If the VSS fails both cruise and speedo will fail and the check Engine light will come on as it effects transmission function. After that I am not very familiar with Ford F 250 but could be instrument cluster. I guess check all fuses as well.
