Front Brake Hoses Leak

Recall Details

The front brake hoses may crack and leak when the suspension is at full travel and the steering is turned all the way to the lock. Dealers will replace the left and right front wheel side brake hoses with revised hose assemblies free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The front brake hoses that carry brake fluid may crack and leak when turning all the way to one side and extending the suspension all the way, such as over large road bumps. This can cause loss of braking operation.

What Should You Do?

Recalls on your Dodge must be performed by a Dodge dealership. Dodge notified owners of affected vehicles in 1996. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Dodge dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
