LOSS OF THESE SYSTEMS CAN CAUSE THE CAR TO OVER HEAT, LOSE POWER FROM THE BATTERY, AND LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE CAR INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
The drive belt pulley may fracture while driving, causing the drive belt too come off and making the engine cooling system, battery charging system and power steering system of the vehicle fail to operate. This can increase loss of vehicle control and lead to an accident.
You must contact and visit a Mercedes-Benz dealership to perform recall repairs on your Mercedes-Benz vehicle. The notification of known owners of affected vehicles began during April, 1996. If you wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mercedes-Benz dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
