The driveshaft to the rear wheels of the vehicle may become damaged because the support that secures the transmission may not be properly tightened to the vehicle body. This could cause a loss of power to the vehicle's rear wheels and increase risk of a crash.

Recall repairs on your Mercedes Benz vehicle must be performed by a Mercedes Benz dealership. Mercedes Benz will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mercedes Benz dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. The headlights have screws that allow for horizontal adjustment, but these screws should be sealed off by sealing caps to prevent this. On affected vehicles, this may not be effective, allowing for misaiming of the headlights. This can increase risk of a crash.

The tongue portions of the seat belt that inserts into the seat belt buckles of the rear outboard seats may unintentionally retract inside the interior paneling of the vehicle, becoming impossible to use, preventing occupants from being able to securely fasten the seat belts.
