Heating & Air Conditioning
THE COOLANT ESCAPING INTO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT COULD CONTACT THE DRIVER'S FEET AND INJURE THE DRIVER. ALSO, STEAM FROM THE HEATER LIQUID WILL CLOUD ON THE WINDOW SURFACES AND IMPAIR THE DRIVER'S VISION. IN EITHER CASE, FAILURE OF THE HEATER CORE END CAP COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
Hot coolant may leak into the passenger compartment from the heater core. This can cause hot coolant to contact vehicle occupants creating risk of occupant injury, as well as allow steam from the heater to cloud window surfaces and impair drivers vision, increasing the risk of occupant injury.
You must visit a Dodge or Chrysler dealership to perform recall repairs on your Dodge or Eagle vehicle. The schedule for Chrysler to contact known owners of affected vehicles was during August, 1994. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Chrysler dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
