Brakes
ABRASION OF THE BRAKE LINE COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF REARBRAKES. THE FRONT BRAKES WOULD FUNCTION, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED INCREASEDSTOPPING DISTANCES WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
The rear brake hydraulic fluid line may wear through by rubbing on a rear suspension height sensor. This would cause a fluid leak which would result in the loss of braking ability and can lead to an accident.
You must visit a General Motors dealership to perform recall repairs on your GMC truck. The schedule for General Motors to initially contact known owners of affected vehicles begins during November, 1991. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
