The front right intermediate drive shaft assembly may fracture and separate from the vehicle while driving. This would cause a lack of vehicle propulsion, and could allow the vehicle to roll when parked if the parking brake is not engaged. These conditions could all result in an accident or injury.

Recall repairs on your Chevrolet or GMC truck must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable for this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall number is 17329.
