General motors llc (gm) is recalling certain 2014-2017 chevrolet express and gmc savana vehicles equipped with power windows. liquid may leak into the driver's power window switch and cause corrosion, resulting in high electrical resistance.

Liquids that leak into the driver's power window switch may can cause corrosion in the switch. This would result in high electrical resistance in the switch, increasing risk of a vehicle fire.

Recall repairs on your Chevrolet or GMC truck must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable for this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall number is 18155.

For vehicles equipped with a plastic handled Kiddie fire extinguisher, the extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected. It could also make it necessary to use excessive force to activate the extinguisher. The nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with force as a result, causing injury. All of these concerns would prevent the extinguisher from functioning properly as needed during a fire.

The rear fuel tank and front fuel tank work together to balance fuel levels during normal vehicle operation and filling of fuel tanks. At times, the rear fuel tank may overfill the front fuel tank because the front tank low fuel level sensor may stick. This can cause the front fuel tank to expand and contact the drive shaft, which could cause a hole to develop in the front fuel tank and result in a fire hazard.

If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships.
