Brakes
A loss of power brake assist can increase the distance required to stop the vehicle. Additionally, a disabled antilock brake system and/or stability control system can result in a loss of vehicle control. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
When a software update was applied over-the-air to the antilock braking system (ABS) module, errors may have occurred that result in warning lights illuminating, loss of power brake assist and ABS concern. This can increase stopping distance and prevent needed safety features from working properly which can result in accident and injury.
