An inaccurate gear selection display may mislead the driver as to what gear is actually selected, leading to unexpected vehicle movement and increasing the risk of a crash.
The shift lever gear selection display may not be accurate due to a software error. This can lead the driver into thinking the vehicle is in one gear when it is in another, which can lead to a safety concern and an accident.
You must visit a Ram dealership to perform recall repairs on your Ram truck. The schedule for Fiat Chrysler America (FCA) to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during June, 2025. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ram truck dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The FCA recall number is 36C.
