Electrical & Lights
A vehicle that can be started and shifted out of Park without applying the brake pedal can result in a vehicle rollaway. Disabled ABS and ESC systems can reduce vehicle handling and control in certain driving situations. Brake lights that incorrectly illuminate can fail to properly indicate the driver's intention to following traffic. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
The vehicle may be able to be shifted out of park without depressing the brake pedal, brake lights may fail to illuminate, and the stability control and anti-lock brake systems may fail to operate. All of these symptoms pose safety concerns that can lead to an accident and injury.
You must visit a Dodge or Jeep dealership to perform recall repairs on your Dodge or Jeep vehicle. The schedule for Fiat Chrysler America (FCA) to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during December, 2024. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Dodge or Jeep dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The FCA recall number is 94B.
