Drive Train
Rear wheel lock-up or separation of the wheel from the axle shaft can result in loss of vehicle control or loss of drive power. In addition, the vehicle may roll in park if the parking brake is not applied. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
A previous recall that prepared to the rear axle shaft may have utilized incorrect bolts, which can lead to rear wheel lock up or separation of the wheel from the axle shaft. This increases the risk of a loss of vehicle control, and also when in "park" gear, the vehicle may roll away. Both can lead to an accident.
