The functions of the reverse camera, reverse light and driver assist features may be disabled due to a missing signal from the software of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). As a result, due to reduced driver awareness of objects behind the vehicle or other unknown people or objects around the vehicle, increased risk of accident or injury exists.

Recall repairs on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford will begin notifying known owners of affected vehicles beginning in June, 2022. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
