Roof rail air bags that do not deploy as intended increase the risk of injury in a crash.
The wiring at either the left or right side roof rail air bags may have incompatible electrical terminals. This could prevent proper powering of the air bags, resulting in them not being able to be deployed in a crash as needed. This increases risk of occupant injury.
Recall repairs on your Chevrolet or Buick vehicle must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2022. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall number is N212352140.
