The side air bag inflatable curtain inflator end cap may detach from the inflator or the inflator sidewall may rupture in an accident that requires air bag deployment. This would release metal fragments that become projectiles in the cabin of the vehicle during air bag deployment, increasing risk of injury.

Recall repairs on your Ram truck must be performed by a Ram dealership. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in October, 2021. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ram dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
