The roof rail air bag inflator end cap may detach from the inflator or the inflator sidewall may rupture in a crash, creating projectiles in the cabin of the vehicle that may strike occupants and cause injury.
Recall repairs on your Chevrolet or GMC truck must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in August, 2021. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall designation is N202324251.
