The parking brake of the vehicle may not engage or disengage fully due to corrosion occurring inside the rear brake calipers from water intrusion and deterioration of the rust prevention coating on the rear brake operating shafts. This could allow the vehicle to roll away when parked, leading to an accident.

Recall repairs on your Mitsubishi must be performed by a Mitsubishi dealership. Mitsubishi will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in January, 2021. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mitsubishi dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
