(mmna) is recalling certain 2011-2016 outlander sport vehicles. water may enter between the hood and windshield and cause the front wiper link ball joint to corrode, possibly resulting in the wiper link separating and the wipers becoming inoperative.

Water may enter the area between the hood and the windshield and cause the wiper linkage to corrode. This can result in the wiper link separating, causing the wipers to not operate. This would reduce visibility and increase risk of a crash.

Recall repairs on your Mitsubishi must be performed by a Mitsubishi dealership. Mitsubishi will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mitsubishi dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Mitsubishi recall number is SR-18-004.

The engine's drive belt may come off of the pulleys it drives due to a failure of the pulley that provides tension to keep the belt firmly on the rest of the pulleys. If the belt comes off, the alternator will not charge the battery, which can cause the vehicle to stall. This can result in a crash.

This propellant may degrade over time, especially when exposed to humidity and temperature cycling. As a result, the inflator may rupture on deployment, which can send metal shrapnel through the air bag, striking vehicle occupants. This could result in serious injury or death.
