The driver's frontal air bag has an inflator that may rupture when the air bag is deployed in an accident. This can cause metal fragments to be sprayed into the cabin of the vehicle, possibly striking occupants, leading to serious injury or death.

You must contact and visit a Volvo dealership to perform recall repairs on your Volvo vehicle. The schedule for Volvo to initially contact known owners of affected vehicles was during April, 2021. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Volvo dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
