A component inside the transmission of the vehicle called the start/stop accumulator endcap may have missing or loose bolts. This can cause a progressive loss of transmission function which can create a safety concern driving, as well as a transmission fluid leak that creates a fire hazard.

Recall repairs on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford notified known owners of affected vehicles beginning in September, 2020.
