An air bag that does not inflate properly increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
For affected vehicles that have previously had a passenger frontal air bag replaced under recall, the passenger frontal air bag may not unfold properly upon deployment in high temperatures. Dealers will inspect and replace the passenger air bag module as needed free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recall repairs on your Pontiac must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in March, 2020. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall designation is N19-2278940.
