Electrical & Lights
Intermittent or inoperative tail lamps can result in loss of stop, turn, rear position, and reverse lamp functions, which reduces the vehicle's visibility and may not fully alert other drivers that the vehicle is braking, turning, or reversing, increasing the risk of crash.
The tail lights of the vehicle may fail to operate due to a connection issue of a wiring harness. If the tail lights fail to operate, other driver's will not be able to recognize when the driver is signaling a turn, driving in reverse or stopping, increasing the risk of an accident.
Recall repairs on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford will begin notifying known owners of affected vehicles beginning in January, 2020. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Ford recall number is 19S43.
