A concern with the front seat belt buckles may result in them showing the vehicle restraint modules that front seat belts are not properly fastened when they actually are properly fastened. When this happens, the "PRE-SAFE" function and pretensioner function of the front seat belts are deactivated, increasing risk of injury in an accident.

Recall repairs on your Mercedes-Benz vehicle must be performed by a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Mercedes-Benz will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in December, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mercedes-Benz dealerships. How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
