The head restraints of the front seats have seat cover material that as installed interferes with the head restraint lock release button. This can make the button stay depressed in the release position, preventing the head restraints from locking properly into place. A head restraint that is n0t secure increases risk of injury in a crash.

Recall repairs on your Mazda must be performed by a Mazda dealership. Mazda will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in September, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mazda dealerships.
