The passenger frontal air bag could become inactive and power steering assist may fail due to wiring in the front passenger seat frame becoming damaged. This would increase risk of an accident and injury in the event of an accident.

Recall repairs on your Mazda must be performed by a Mazda dealership. Mazda will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in September, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mazda dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Mazda recall number is 1517H.
