The high pressure fuel pump mounted on the engine may not be properly attached and as a result may crack at its mounting flange. This would cause a fuel leak, which creates a fire hazard in the engine compartment.

Recall repairs on your BMW must be performed by a BMW dealership. BMW will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in August, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local BMW dealerships.
