The rear side windows of the vehicle may be constructed as a single-pane safety glass instead of safer laminated safety glass. The use of the single-pane safety glass may not adequately protect the occupants in the rear of the vehicle from being ejected in a side impact crash or vehicle rollover. This increases risk of occupant injury.

Recall repairs on your Sprinter must be performed by a Sprinter dealership. Daimler Vehicles USA will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in August, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Sprinter dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
