Power Steering Assist Fails And Engine Stalls

Recall Details

The battery ground connection of the vehicle may be loose, causing the power steering system to fail and possibly causing the engine to stall. Dealers will inspect the battery ground surfaces, clean the contact surfaces as needed, and properly reassemble the ground connection free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

A loose battery ground connection on the vehicle may result in the sudden failure of the power steering system, and also may cause the engine to stall. This increases risk of a crash.
