Front Suspension Control Arm Welds Fail

Recall Details

The front suspension lower control arms may have a joint that has been improperly welded. This can lead to the control arms to partially separate from the vehicle. Dealers will inspect the left and right front lower control arms and replace them as needed free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

A joint in one or both of the front suspension lower control arms that connect the wheels to the front suspension of the vehicle may have been improperly welded. This can cause the affected joint to break and cause the lower control arm to partially separate from the vehicle. This can lead to loss of vehicle control and an accident.
