The passenger frontal air bag module may become damaged from the bracket that mounts the inflator to it. If this happens, gas that inflates the air bag can leak out, and the air bag will not deploy with the proper force as needed. Dealers will replace the passenger air bag module free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recall repairs on your Ford, Mercury or Lincoln must be performed by a Ford or Lincoln dealership. Ford will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in November, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford or Lincoln dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
