Brake Pedal Becomes Loose And Inoperative

Recall Details

The brake pedal pivot nut may loosen, resulting in the brake pedal becoming loose and inoperative, and possibly restricting movement of the accelerator pedal. Dealers will add adhesive to the nut and reinstall the nut with increased tightness free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

A pivot nut that secures the brake pedal may become loose, causing the brake pedal to become loose or inoperative. This can prevent operation of the brakes as well as interfere with the accelerator pedal, which could lead to an accident.
