The shift lever cable bushing may detach from the transmission, preventing the vehicle from being securely in the park position. Dealers will replace the shift lever cable bushing free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recall repairs on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in July, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford dealerships. How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
