The software for the sensing diagnostic module (SDM) may allow the module to enter a fault state during hard braking or acceleration. This would prevent proper crash sensing and air bag deployment as needed in a crash. If the air bags do not deploy as needed, there is an increased risk of occupant injury.

Recall repairs on your Chevrolet must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
