When the vehicle is off and the shift lever is not in the "park" position, the warning chime that sounds with the key in the ignition cylinder may not sound, and the shift lever position indicator showing the vehicle not in park in the instrument cluster may not illuminate. This could allow the vehicle to roll away exiting the vehicle in this condition without the warnings being present, resulting in injury.

Recall repairs on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in February, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford dealerships.
