The wiring to the driver's frontal air bag may chafe within the steering wheel, resulting in unexpected air bag deployment while driving. Dealers will inspect the air bag within the steering wheel and replace it as necessary, and in all cases will install a protective cover free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recall repairs on your Dodge must be performed by a Dodge dealership. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in August, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Chrysler or Dodge dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Chrysler recall number is T47.

How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
