The 1.6 Liter GDTI engine could crack and leak oil if overheated due to the engine being low in coolant. This would cause a fire hazard. Dealers will install a coolant level sensor and the supporting hardware and software free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recall repairs on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford notified known owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2017.
