Recall 17V149000

Driveshaft Strikes Fuel System Causing Fire Hazard

Recall Details

The driveshaft center support bearing bracket may not have been welded properly and may detach, resulting in the driveshaft possibly contacting fuel system components causing a fuel leak. Dealers will install three additional rivets to secure the bracket free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

A bracket that secures the driveshaft and support bearing may not have been welded properly and could separate from the vehicle. This could allow the driveshaft to strike fuel system components, causing a fuel leak.
