The front seat height adjustment lifter links may break or detach from the seat frame, causing the seat angle to incline. Dealers will inspect the seat lifter links and install a reinforcement bracket to the lifter links free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recall repairs on your Mazda must be performed by a Mazda dealership. Mazda will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in March, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Mazda dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you. Even if your vehicle's warranty has expired and you are not the original owner of the vehicle, you are still eligible to have any open safety recalls on your vehicle repaired.
