Front Passenger Air Bag Does Not Deploy Properly

Recall Details

The passenger air bag suppression system sensor may become bent or damaged within the front passenger seat, resulting in the passenger frontal air bag being disabled when needed in an accident. The manufacturer is still developing a repair procedure as of the time of this writing, and dealers will then repair the vehicles free of charge.

Our Quick Take

An issue with the passenger air bag suppression system within the front passenger seat may prevent the front passenger air bag from deploying in an accident, increasing risk of occupant injury.
