Rear Lower Control Arms Separate From Frame

Recall Details

The rear lower control arms connecting bolts may fail and allow the arms to separate from the vehicle. Dealers will replace the bolt that connects the rear lower control arm to the rear knuckle joint free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recall repairs on your Jaguar must be performed by a Jaguar dealership. Jaguar will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in December, 2016. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jaguar dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. Summary
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR vehicles built between February 19, 2016 and August 15, 2016. Due to assembly corrections during manufacturing, the bolts connecting the rear lower control arms to the knuckle assembly may fail prematurely.
Consequence
If the lower control arm bolt connecting bolt fails, the rear control arm assembly may separate from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the bolt that connects the rear lower control arm to the rear knuckle joint, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on December 19, 2016. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J076.
