The 220 amp alternator may fail suddenly while driving the vehicle. This would cause the vehicle to eventually stall from a lack of available electrical power. This could cause an accident. Additionally, the alternator failure could cause a fire.

Recall repairs on your Ram truck must be performed by a Ram dealership. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in November, 2016. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ram dealerships. Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
